How Game Of Thrones ended still rubs me the wrong way, so many story lines fucked up so I devised my own alternative arcs and a potential 9th season storyline.
Tyrions Arc:
I would have had Tyrion revealed as being the son of the Mad King and Joanna Lannister because in the books it was stated that the Mad King had a thing for Joanna. This would explain why Tywin hated Tyrion so much besides being a dwarf because the Mad King secretly married his wife and had a son (Tyrion) named him Tyrion to spite Tywin and Tywin begrudgingly claimed Tyrion as his own to avoid what we all know Tywin despises and that is a scandal and shame that would be fall house Lannister.
Tyrion's True Parentage:
Revealing Tyrion as the Mad King's son adds a new layer to his character and Tywin's hatred for him. Why Tyrion always felt like an outcast.
Dany and Jon Arc:
Dany who through the entire series showed compassion to all and a righteous person (before season 8) would be the rightful heir, restoring the Targaryen name to prominence and being also revealed as the Princess that was promised by destroying the Night King receives the peoples love of her for saving them from the darkness her and with Tyrion revealed as her half-brother, remains her hand. Jon, her nephew who is revealed as the son of Regor and Lyanna would become the Lord Commander of the Kingsguard restoring it to it's former glory of honor and loyalty where you now would have the three headed dragon in a position of prominence as is the sigil of house Targaryen rule over the seven kingdoms as their ancestor Ageon The Conquer did with his sister wives. Added bonus you would have a half Lannister in Tyrion and a half Stark in Jon commanding the loyalty of the South and North, the two most important houses outside of house Targaryen.
Daenerys and Jon's Roles:
Making Daenerys the rightful heir and Jon the Lord Commander of the Kingsguard provides a satisfying conclusion to their storylines. Jon's honor and Daenerys compassion.
Sansa, Bran, Arya Stark Arc:
Sansa would be named wardeness of the North, Arya joins the nights watch as a trainer of the soldiers which goes into my idea for Jamie, Bran would be the ultimate advisor.
Sansa, Bran, and Arya's Roles:
Assigning Sansa as Wardeness of the North, Arya as a trainer in the Night's Watch, and Bran as the ultimate advisor utilizes their skills and experiences.
Samwell Tarley Arc:
Samwell still become a maseter and remains with Jon's and it is what he always wanted to be.
Samwell's Conclusion:
Samwell's dream of becoming a maester is fulfilled, which is a heartwarming conclusion IMO to his storyline. Remaining with Jon Samwell's close friendship with Jon is preserved with Jon in his new role as Lord Commander of the Kingsguard. Samwell's arc demonstrates his personal growth, as he achieves his goal of becoming a maester. Samwell's decision to remain with Jon highlights the importance of loyalty and friendship in his life.
Davos Seaworthy Arc:
I would have him become Master of Ships with his history of past smuggling.
Davos Reward:
Assigning Davos the role of Master of Ships leverages his experience as a smuggler and his knowledge of the seas. This position would allow him to utilize his skills for the benefit of the realm. Given Davos' loyalty and dedication to Stannis and later Jon, this role would be a fitting reward for his service and a recognition of his expertise.
Tormund Giantsbane Arc:
Tormond would become the new leader of the City's watch with the wildlings.
Tormund's Arc:
Having Tormund become the new leader of the City Watch is a great fit for his character. He's a natural leader, and his wildling background would bring a unique perspective to the role.Tormund's new position would also serve as a representation of the wildlings' integration into the Seven Kingdoms, symbolizing a new era of cooperation and understanding.
Jamie Lannister Arc:
I would have had it revealed why Jamie killed the Mad King to the people of the seven kingdoms as he revealed in the tub scene with Brianne and by popular vote the people unanimously name Jamie Lannister Lord Commander of the Nights watch which would be rebranded as not just protectors of the Wall which was destroyed, but the protectors of the seven kingdoms. With his military experience who better. He would marry Breanne which is now allowed in the Nights watch.
Jamie's Redemption:
Revealing the truth about Jamie's past and having him become the Lord Commander of the Night's Watch provides a sense of redemption and the love and respect he always wanted.
The Hound Arc:
He joins the nightwatch as first ranger and also can watch over Arya as her protector.
The Hound's Purpose:
Having the Hound join the Night's Watch as First Ranger gives him a new sense of purpose.
Bronn Arc:
Bronn would join Jamie in the Nights watch as his second in command and of course is paid handsomely.
Bronn's Loyalty:
Bronn joining Jamie in the Night's Watch as his second-in-command demonstrates his loyalty.
Melisandra Arc:
With helping Dany defeat the night king with The Lord Of Lightes help, rebuild the Sept of baelor and preach that he is the one true God who helped in keeping the light shining through darkness having another motive as to build a following that could challenge The Seven Kingdoms which could be season 9.
Melisandra True Reason:
By having Melisandre rebuild the Sept of Baelor and preach about the Lord of Light, set ms the stage for a possible conflict between the faith of the Lord of Light and the traditional religions of the Seven Kingdoms. This could lead to a fascinating exploration of themes such as power, faith, and the struggle for dominance. It would raise questions about the future of the realm, the role of religion in shaping the kingdom's destiny, and the consequences of Melisandre's actions. Melisandre's followers could become a powerful force, potentially rivaling the major houses of the Seven Kingdoms. This could lead to a new wave of conflicts and power struggles. The spread of the Lord of Light's influence could lead to tensions between different faiths, causing social and political upheaval throughout the kingdom. As Melisandre builds her following, her true motives could be revealed, adding depth to her character and raising questions about her ultimate goals.
Lady Stoneheart Introduction:
Lady Stoneheart is a vengeful and ruthless version of Catelyn Stark, brought back to life by the Brotherhood Without Banners who worship the Lord Of Light. Catelyn, brought back to life by the magic of the Lord of Light, she harbors deep resentment towards Melisandre and her spreading the word of The Lord Of Light because her resurrection has robbed her of the peace she sought in the afterlife with Ned and transformed her into a vengeful spirit consumed by grief and a thirst for vengeance. This conflict could escalate, with Catelyn potentially seeing Melisandre as a threat and seeking to undermine her influence. The presence of Lady Stoneheart would create a significant rift within the Stark family. Sansa, Bran, and Arya would be stuck in the middle since it is their mom. So where do their loyalty lie? With their mom, or with Jon who is their cousin they love. And where does Jon's loyalty lie, with his aunt Dany and his duty and Targaryen roots, with his cousins the Starks who he grew up with and love him. Also Daenerys being the Princess That Was Promised, and her connection to the Lord of Light, she's already deeply embroiled in the conflict. And now, with Jon being her nephew, the family dynamics become even more complicated. As a vengeful and ruthless character, Lady Stoneheart's primary focus will likely be on punishing those who wronged her. Daenerys also would have conflict with Lady Stoneheart because she threatens the tranquility of the seven kingdoms as well as her family in her nephew Jon could cause striff with the Stark children and Daenerys being that Lady Stoneheart is their mother, Jon, who she never liked would also feel her wrath as he was the reason Ned lied to her and kept his true parentage a secret. He be a constant reminder, as she said before of not Neds infidelity but of a lie she feels he couldn't even trust her with. So now Jon is torn between his loyalty to Daenerys and his half Targaryen roots and his cousins the Starks who are the other half of his roots and his love for both sides of the family. His faith in the old gods would clash with Melisandre's fervent belief in the Lord of Light, further complicating his allegiances. So you have Melisandra vs Lady Stoneheart, Jon vs Lady Stoneheart and Daenerys vs Lady Stoneheart. Melisandra alternative motives, Lady Stoneheart hatred of all, Jon Snow or Ageon Targaryen the third of his name Jon vs Melisandra and potentially Jon vs Daenerys.
