Until We Meet Again (Chris Haley)

Shadows stretch where streetlights gleam, an empty corner, a hollow dream. Thirty years, in brick they lie, echoes whisper, a swift goodbye.

Time, they say, will mend the tears, but this wound cuts, a silent fear. A scream unheard, secrets deep, in the heart's dark chamber, I keep.

A mournful song, a soul's lament, for a brother lost, heaven-sent. Beneath a sky, where stars are gone, you lifted me, when hope was withdrawn. To the heavens now, my voice takes flight, wishing you'd step back into the light.

Windows down, late night drives, dreams we shared, where the future thrives. A shield you were against life's storm, now wreckage lies, and I'm forlorn.

Years of tears, a sudden flood, a shattered world, misunderstood. Your spirit lives, in every beat, a legacy of kindness, bittersweet.

Brother, your name, forever near, brother, your presence, always here. A memory's flame, in the darkest night, until we meet, my brother, goodnight.
