Planned Obsolescence

ALL consumers partake in something called Planned Obsolescence. This is the practice of designing products to fail or become obsolete after a certain period of time, forcing consumers to buy replacements. This can be done through various methods, such as:

1. Software Updates: Making older devices incompatible with new software or features.
2. Material Degradation: Using materials that are designed to break down over time.
3. Fashion Trends: Making products seem outdated through design changes or marketing.

Planned Obsolescence has negative environmental and economic impacts, contributing to waste and increased consumption.
